Oh Jesus, Author of Life and Savior of humanity, you chose to come into this world as a defenseless little baby. For nine months you remained hidden in the virginal womb of your mother. Though you were concealed from the eyes of the world during that time, you were indeed true God and true man. Ever-living God, your Incarnation sanctified all life in the womb, confirming the infinite dignity of every human life from the moment of conception. Ó Lord, as an infant you escaped the murderous plans of King Herod, who ordered the slaughter of so many Holy Innocents. We beg you, O Sun of Justice, to defend the unborn of our generation from Planned Parenthood, which has carried out the destruction of tens of millions of innocent lives. Give our political leaders courage to stand up for life and to vote for the defunding of Planned Parenthood. May our government cease using the money of its citizens to fund this heartless organization that so callously destroys precious new lives. Let our voices unite to defend the voiceless unborn. Give us the grace to boldly decry all who profit from these unspeakable crimes against human dignity. O Lord of life, pour out your redeeming mercy on all who do violence to the unborn and guide those who labor to build a culture of life, that they may persevere with courage in proclaiming the truth in love. Amen.
