Monday, March 6 : Saint Catherine of Siena

Oh inexpressible love, Oh gentle love, Oh eternal fire! Yu are the ever burning fire. Oh sovereign and eternal trinity, you are righteousness without fault, simplicity without shadow, sincerity without guise. Turn your look of mercy toward your creatures. I understand that your mercy belongs uniquely to you, and that whichever direction I turn, I will find your mercy. This is why I run to you, crying out, Oh God have mercy on the world! Eternal Father, you want that we would serve you according to your will, and you yourself fix the way of your servants. This teaches us that we can not judge the inner state of a creature by his exteriur works, but only in reference to your will. Happy is the Christian that sees in the light of the infinite variety of your ways and your works, by whatever path your servants take, they run in the way of your fire of love, or they are not really following you truth.
