Sunday, March 9 : Saint Pio of Pietralcina “Padre Pio”

When will Jesus consume me entirely in his love? When will I be able to be entirely consumed by the divine flames? When will I be able to unite myself closely to him in order to be able to sing a completely new song, the song of victory? When will this internal struggle between Satan and the poor soul, who wants to be entirely for his heavenly Spouse, end? The weakness of my being makes me fear to cold sweats. (…) May God the Most High be blessed, who never completely abandons me in the hands of the power of darkness! While the battle seemed to be coming to an end in favor of the adversaries, behold, with solicitude the Lord runs, puts them to rout and reduces them all to impotence. May divine mercy live forever! How good Jesus is to his creatures! How many victories has his servant counted, all thanks to his very powerful help! Jesus wanted to make me an example of grace and to offer me as an example to all sinners, so that they would not despair of their salvation.
