In a design of mercy, the master, for me, humbles Himself and endures the sufferings of the flesh, filling my nothingness; Through his divinity He makes, from His passion, to spring up for me impassiveness and he crowns my dishonor of honor, He that all the powers of the heavens magnify. By your divine condescension, Lord, Hades was reduced to captivity and the dead jumped out of the graves; Because it is you who is true life, the one that ends the reign of death and the power of Hades, You that all the powers of heaven magnify. Even if You have been deposited in the tomb like an inanimate body, by virtue of your divinity, Master, to the dead you showed yourself free and, with you, the corruption of Hades You have resuscitated the first Man and all his race, thanks to Your adorable resurrection: that is why with the angels, You the only one, the Savior, we magnify You.
