Saturday, August 12 : Saint Catherine of Siena
Our savior said, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you will be able to sya to this mountain move from here and it will move.” Mt 17:19 Yes my dear father, I believe that it is the truth, because when a faithful soul puts all her hope and trust in the wood of the Holy Cross, where we find the lamb consumed by divine charity, she gains a faith so great that there is no mountain, which is to say no sin, no mountain of pride, of negligence, that she cannot move by virtue of the Holy Cross of Christ. Our will will move this mountain from vice to virtue, from negligence to zeal, from pride to humility. By contemplating God descending to humanity, we will remove the mountain of ignorance, we will be humble in the true knowedge of ourselves, we will see that our works are nothing, that we are capable of nothing. Then the soul will see the goodness of God in itself, his ardent love, she will know herself loved before she was even created.
