Love in yourself what he who loved you has made you to be. Despise in yourself what you yourself have made of yourself. Submit yourself to what is above you; despise what is beneath you. Love yourself in the same way as he loved you who gave himself up for you. Despise yourself for having despised what God has created and loved in you… Do you want to keep God always in mind? Look at yourself as God has made you. Don’t go around looking for some other self, don’t give yourself back to him as anyone other than God has made you to be. That is how you will always keep God in mind.
